Duties
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing training and guidance to ensure high performance.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring that all dishes meet quality standards.
Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while catering to customer preferences.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and manage food costs effectively.
Lead by example in the kitchen, demonstrating strong leadership and teamwork skills.
Implement training programmes for new staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen operations.
Experience
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques.
Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Previous restaurant experience is essential; familiarity with various cuisines is an advantage.
