Aramark UK is seeking an experienced Head Chef to become a key part of our team at Hartpury University and College, Gloucester - one of the UK's leading specialist education providers in agriculture, animal science, business, equine, sport and veterinary nursing.
This role reports directly to the Group Manager and has two direct reports. As Head Chef, you be a proactive and hands on team player who will manage food service operations at site whilst leading the team to success. This site runs many events throughout the year so we would love to meet applicants with event management experience. A day in the life of a Head Chef:

• Lead culinary innovation by developing menus and food concepts based on market trends
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to shape food quality and style across the campus
• Manage key culinary projects from conception to delivery
• Ensure operational excellence including waste management, compliance, and customer service
• Support implementation of new products and menu specifications in line with Aramark brand standards
• Build strong supplier relationships to ensure quality and financial return
• Oversee accurate reporting, inventory, and purchasing compliance
• Champion health and safety, ensuring training records and food diaries are maintained
• Provide regional support including mobilisation of new business and HR support
• Lead client reviews and contribute to strategic planning and contract negotiations

You'll be set up for success if you have:

• Strong culinary background drawing from a contract catering or hospitality environment
• Experience leading a team to success
• Hospitality event management experience
• Strong numeracy, written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Drivers license as our site is remote
