We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.
This role involves overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation are maintained consistently.
The Head Chef / kitchen manager will be responsible for managing staff, developing menus, and maintaining a vibrant and efficient kitchen environment.
Duties
Supervise and manage the kitchen team, including sous chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants
Oversee food production to ensure dishes meet quality standards and presentation expectations
Lead food preparation and cooking activities, maintaining consistency and excellence in all offerings
Develop innovative grill focus menus in collaboration with management that reflect current trends and customer preferences
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
Manage stock levels, order supplies, and control wastage to optimise kitchen efficiency
Train staff on food safety procedures, proper cooking techniques, and customer service standards
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery
Monitor kitchen operations during service hours to resolve any issues promptly
Foster a positive team environment that encourages professional growth and teamwork
Qualifications
Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment
Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food production and preparation
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
Solid understanding of food safety standards and regulations
Experience working in hospitality or restaurant settings is highly desirable
Strong knowledge of cooking techniques across various cuisines
