Duties
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of food preparation.
Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and quality across all dishes.
Develop and implement menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences while adhering to budgetary constraints.
Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food safety practices, and proper use of kitchen equipment.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Monitor inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed while minimising waste.
Stay updated on culinary trends and techniques to continuously enhance the dining experience.
Skills
Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment.
Strong background in food production, including cooking and food preparation skills.
Excellent team management abilities, fostering collaboration among kitchen staff.
In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques and hospitality principles.
Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
