Responsibilities

Supervise and manage kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient team atmosphere. Oversee food production processes to ensure quality and consistency in all dishes served. Plan and execute menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment. Train and mentor kitchen staff in food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation standards. Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and manage food costs effectively. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Maintain high standards of hospitality to enhance the dining experience for guests.

Skills

Proven supervising experience in a kitchen environment. Strong background in food production and preparation techniques. Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff. Extensive culinary experience with a passion for cooking and creativity in menu design. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations to ensure compliance. Previous restaurant experience is essential, with a focus on delivering high-quality service. Strong leadership abilities to guide the kitchen team effectively. Excellent communication skills to liaise with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
