Responsibilities
Lead and supervise all kitchen staff, including cooks, sous chefs, and support personnel, fostering a team-oriented atmosphere focused on excellence.
Develop innovative specials menus aligned with current culinary trends and guest preferences, ensuring variety and quality.
Oversee food preparation processes to maintain consistency, flavor integrity, and presentation standards across all dishes.
Manage inventory control and food ordering to optimize stock levels while minimizing waste and controlling costs.
Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation standards to guarantee a safe dining environment for guests and staff alike.
Coordinate with the catering team to plan and execute large-scale banquet events with precision and flair.
Monitor kitchen operations during shifts to ensure smooth workflow, timely service, and exceptional guest satisfaction.
Implement training programs for staff development in cooking techniques, food handling, customer service, and safety procedures.
Oversee the management of kitchen equipment maintenance and cleanliness to uphold operational efficiency.
Lead by example in hospitality excellence, demonstrating professionalism in serving guests and managing high-pressure situations effectively.
Qualifications
Proven leadership experience with a strong background in food production, catering, or restaurant management.
Extensive culinary experience with expertise in cooking techniques across various cuisines.
Demonstrated supervisory experience leading kitchen teams in fast-paced environments.
Strong understanding of inventory management, cost control, and food safety standards (including HACCP compliance).
Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork.
Experience managing dietary departments or specialized dietary needs is a plus.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently during shift management.
Familiarity with kitchen equipment maintenance and inventory control systems.
