We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in a leadership position and a proven track record of managing kitchen operations in a fast-paced event environment. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing food production and delivering exceptional experiences across our event portfolio.
About You:
Significant experience in a senior kitchen leadership role (Head or Exec Chef level) within luxury event catering, contract catering, or premium hospitality.
At least 3 years working in Historical London Venues (UVL) with a knowledge of the associated logistics and restrictions
Strong knowledge of large-scale catering, high-volume service, and complex logistics.
Strong leadership skills with a collaborative, calm, and composed management style.
Commercial confidence in managing budgets, GP, planning, and supplier relationships.
Expertise in creating bespoke menus that cater to diverse tastes and dietary requirements.
Exceptional organisation and time management - able to manage both hands-on work in kitchen and admin roles
Passion for food with high attention to detail and presentation.
A drive for sustainability and food provenance
Forward-thinking with a desire to innovate and push boundaries
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining exceptional standards.
A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor the kitchen, development, and production teams to deliver across events, workplace dining, and special culinary projects.
Oversee all culinary operations, ensuring quality, cost control, and consistency across high-volume and high-standard output.
Drive menu innovation and seasonal planning across multiple sectors, maintaining the company's signature flair and luxury positioning.
Work with client-facing teams to ensure culinary delivery exceeds expectations.
Be actively involved in kitchen operations, including tastings, production, and event delivery.
Champion a positive, professional, and growth-oriented culture within the kitchen and wider business.
Stay ahead of culinary trends, sustainability practices, and customer expectations.
Lead and inspire a talented kitchen team to deliver outstanding dishes for high-profile events.
Develop innovative, seasonal menus tailored to bespoke client requirements.
Oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, quality control, and service.
Manage kitchen systems, documentation, costing, compliance, and people planning.
Manage supplier relationships to source premium, sustainable ingredients.
Maintain impeccable standards of hygiene, safety, and compliance with health regulations.
Work closely with event planners and clients to create unique and memorable dining experiences.
Monitor budgets, food costs, and inventory to maximize profitability.
Train, mentor, and develop the kitchen team to uphold excellence
