Opening in Spring 2026, Maslow's welcomes it's third addition to the portfolio - Maslow's Kensington. In this inspiring new workplace, we will operate two-floors of private members co-working space - 31 private offices and a total of 303 desks, with restaurant, cafe and bar - all just a stone's throw from High Street Kensington.

Your new role




Our company is seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead the pre-opening, and opening of Maslow's Kensington.


The Head Chef will be pivotal in successfully creating and opening a brand-new kitchen and food concept at Maslow's Kensington. Once opened, the focus will be towards the smooth, efficient and cost-effective running of the Back of House operation.


The Head Chef will be an inspirational leader, motivating and developing the team and creating a culture of passion and enthusiasm for the preparation and service of food. They will cultivate an excellent working partnership with the restaurant management team.


They will hire top talent for our business to ensure our members and guests receive the highest level of food and beverage service. They will manage budgets, labour costs, demonstrate due diligence and drive standards across the department relating to food hygiene and health and safety compliance.


Our Head Chef will be influential in shaping our identity and establishing us as a highly regarded destination within the London hospitality scene. Ensuring the highest food quality consistent with cost control and profitability margins and that all work is carried out in line with company guidelines.


Reporting into the Executive Chef, this role is available from November 2025 and during pre-opening will be based across the Maslow's properties. Once onsite, you will be based at Maslow's Kensington, W8 with operating hours between 8am - 7pm, Monday to Friday.


Qualifications and Experience




Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, fluent English speaker Valid Level 3 Food Safety certification 1 to 3 years minimum kitchen supervisory and/or management experience Capability of producing a consistent product to meet and exceed guests' needs in a timely manner Ability to monitor food production, quality and consistency, staffing levels and department training on a daily basis Skills and knowledge on culinary education (or related experience), cost control, communication skills, computer skills, organizational skills, guest contact experience and culinary teaching skills and knowledge Ability to create standard recipes Strong understanding of purchasing, receiving, inventory control and stock rotation Proven leadership skills Relevant industry experience in a similar environment - luxury hospitality Financial acumen Excellent organisational skills

Desirable Skills




Proven success as Head Chef or Senior Sous in a quality-led/membership-based operation. Experience in membership-based environments or hospitality concepts that emphasise community and belonging. A thoughtful, guest-focused approach with an understanding of member expectations Excellent leadership and communication skills; a mentor by nature Financially astute, with strong knowledge of food margins, costing and stock systems Ability to balance creativity with operational discipline Pre-opening and Opening experience of a hospitality venue A keen interest in current hospitality 'hot spots'
