Here at The Leytonstone Tavern, we're looking for a skilled and passionate Head Chef to lead the kitchen.

Within a small independent East London pub group, The Leytonstone Tavern is a busy neighbourhood, food and events led pub.

The daily menu consists of award winning burgers, tacos and sides for lunch & dinner, as well as our renowned Sunday roasts, focusing on a regularly changing seasonal menu, using locally and sustainably sourced ingredients.

We host a lot of exciting events too, both internally and externally, including weddings, birthdays, music festivals, F1 racing and food & drink events.

We are looking for a Head Chef who is keen to progress and is able to take on responsibility within a growing company, with support from the hands on owner & Executive chef.

Skills we are looking for

6+ years of suitable kitchen experience Previous Head Chef experience Ability to cook fresh food, to order Baking and butchery skills preferable Capable of working in a busy pub environment knowledgeable with GP's, Costings and menu writing knowledgeable with Allergies Right attitude and desire to learn Able to be supportive to both the kitchen and FOH management team Enjoys the rewards of great honest food

Responsibilities



Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation and cooking. Lead and manage kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen. Develop and execute menus that highlight butchery, cooking, and baking skills. Train and mentor team members to enhance culinary skills and service quality. Monitor inventory and manage food production to minimize waste and optimize resources.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 50,000.00-55,000.00 per year
