We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.
Responsibilities
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency and quality
Develop and design seasonal menus that reflect current culinary trends while meeting customer preferences
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations
Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and customer service skills
Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction
Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to maintain efficient kitchen operations
Monitor food costs and waste to optimise profitability without compromising quality
Skills
Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment
Strong background in food production with a focus on quality and presentation
Excellent team management skills, able to inspire and motivate staff
Proficient in food preparation techniques with a creative flair for cooking
Extensive kitchen experience complemented by culinary qualifications or equivalent experience
Knowledge of hospitality principles and practices to enhance guest experiences
Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills
Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices within the culinary industry
Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, particularly in a fast-paced setting
Ability to serve as a role model for junior staff while maintaining high standards of professionalism
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: 15.00-17.00 per hour
