We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring that every dish meets our guests' expectations while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Duties
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food production.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Develop and implement menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment.
Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and customer service excellence.
Collaborate with front-of-house management to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction.
Monitor inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed while minimising waste.
Maintain a positive team atmosphere through effective communication and conflict resolution.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar culinary leadership role within the hospitality industry.
Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques.
Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team effectively.
Comprehensive knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
A passion for culinary arts with creativity in menu development.
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with both kitchen staff and front-of-house teams.
