Duties
Lead and supervise the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive working environment
Oversee food production, ensuring dishes meet quality standards and presentation expectations
Manage food preparation and cooking processes efficiently to optimise service times
Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
Organise staff schedules, delegate tasks, and monitor performance to maintain smooth kitchen operations
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and control costs to optimise kitchen profitability
Train new staff members in food preparation, safety procedures, and service standards
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in accordance with health regulations
Requirements
Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment
Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food production and restaurant operations
Demonstrable team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead diverse groups of staff
Proficiency in food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation skills
Solid understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is highly desirable
