We are seeking a talented and passionate Head Chef to join the newly refurbished Woodlands Hall Hotel. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of food production and safety standards. As Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining a positive dining experience for our guests. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Accommodation on site could be provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service. Develop and prepare innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations. Oversee food preparation processes to ensure consistency in taste and presentation. Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and hospitality standards. Collaborate with management to manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs. Ensure the kitchen operates smoothly during service hours while maintaining a positive atmosphere.

Experience

Proven experience as a Sous or Head Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong knowledge of food production techniques, culinary trends, and kitchen management. Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a collaborative environment. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure. A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
