Head Chef - Quality Gastro Pub near Bedale

We're looking for a

Head Chef

to take charge of the kitchen at a country pub near Bedale. The focus is on producing consistently excellent food -- pub classics with flair, alongside dishes to

rosette standard

.

This is a cooking-led role: you'll spend most of your time on the pans, leading by example. You'll be responsible for the rota and day-to-day running of the kitchen, with management support in place to help.

The Role:

Running the kitchen day-to-day and setting high standards. Cooking to a consistently high level, from pub favourites to rosette-quality dishes. Maintaining kitchen cleanliness, organisation, and compliance. Ordering, stock control, and managing supplier relationships. Creating and managing the rota, supported by management when needed. Leading and motivating the small kitchen team.

What We're Looking For:

A reliable chef with strong cooking ability and pride in their work. Previous experience at sous or head chef level in a

rosette kitchen

. A leader who sets the tone on quality and consistency. Organised and dependable -- someone who gets things done properly.

What We Offer:

Competitive salary in the

35,000-38,000
