We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring effective teamwork and communication.
Develop and implement menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and hospitality standards.
Monitor inventory levels and manage stock control to minimise waste.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate innovative cooking techniques into menu offerings.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar culinary leadership role within a care home environment.
Strong supervisory experience with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
Extensive knowledge of food production processes, food preparation techniques, and cooking methods.
Excellent understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in both food presentation and kitchen operations.
A passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding customer experiences.
