Overview


We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our Mediterranean kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and hospitality, demonstrating leadership skills and a commitment to food safety. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation while managing a talented team.

Duties



Supervise and manage kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency and quality in all dishes served. Develop innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high hygiene standards within the kitchen. Train and mentor kitchen staff, providing guidance on cooking techniques and best practices. Manage inventory, ordering supplies as needed to maintain stock levels while minimising waste. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Monitor kitchen performance, implementing improvements where necessary to enhance efficiency.

Skills



Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Strong background in food production, with extensive knowledge of culinary techniques. Excellent team management skills, capable of motivating and leading a diverse group of individuals. Proficient in food preparation and cooking, with a passion for creating exceptional dishes. Solid understanding of food safety standards and regulations. Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is highly desirable. Strong leadership qualities with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with staff and suppliers. Pay: 38,000.00-42,000.00 per year
