We are looking for a Head Chef to lead our kitchen team through breakfast, lunch & dinner service. Be able to cook all types of food including tapas, breakfast & lunch items. Pizza experience is not necessary as we have specific chefs for this. The chef will need to create food specifications, manage purchasing and cost menus.
Our menu includes Mediterranean Tapas & Neapolitan Pizza as well as breakfast and lunch items. If you can bring something special to the table, new ideas will definitely be heard.
Role & Responsibilities
Food preparation.
Date and allergen labelling all food prep.
Creating allergen sheets for all dishes
Keeping a clean and hygienic kitchen
Complete the Safer Food Better Business book and put it into action.
Maintain our 5 food hygiene rating.
Be a calm and confident leader in the kitchen.
Working alone and managing own time.
Creating rotas for the kitchen staff
Managing staff and ensuring that all are working safely and hygienically
Keeping all paper work up to date. Date labels, cleaning schedule, fridge and freezer temps as well as opening and closing checks.
Ordering from suppliers each week
Handling stock levels and ensure that we are not over ordering and holding stock.
Keeping food waste to a minimum.
