Jacksons Nurseries, Farm Shop & Tea Room, Bagnall ST9 9LE are looking to recruit a talented daytime only
(no evening or night shifts)
Head Chef for immediate start.We serve quality traditional homemade food using fresh ingredients, cooked from scratch to a high standard and seek applicants that have good home cooking skills and the imagination & flair to bring further creativity to our menu and specials board.
Our ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' experience of working in a commercial kitchen, be a good team player AND have a passion for food.
Responsibilities;-
Oversee all menu planning, food preparation and delivery of service
Manage the menu costings and produce supplier negotiations
Produce high quality meals from fresh produce
Deliver 'service' with speed and accuracy
Produce varied and interesting daily specials board.
Work well under pressure and maintain a high standard.
Ensure that the kitchen is kept clean and hazard free at all times
Comply with all Health & Safety regulations and have knowledge of food Hygiene policies
Ensure minimum kitchen wastage
Assist and monitor stock levels and rotation
Daytime only hours anticipated 8.00-4.30 5 days per week with some weekend working on a rota system
Excellent rates of pay offered to experienced head chef.
Due to our location, applicants must have their own transport
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: 14.00-15.00 per hour
