Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and preparation, coupled with excellent leadership and team management skills. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality, while fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Responsibilities

Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operation Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest standards Develop and implement menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards Monitor inventory levels, ordering supplies as necessary to ensure uninterrupted service Train new kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and restaurant procedures Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery Manage kitchen budgets and control costs while maintaining quality

Requirements

Proven experience in a supervisory role within a kitchen environment Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant setting is highly desirable Exceptional leadership qualities with the ability to work under pressure Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
