Responsibilities
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training and mentoring team members to enhance their skills.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency and quality in every dish served.
Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while meeting customer preferences.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste to optimise cost efficiency.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Conduct regular inspections of the kitchen area to ensure cleanliness and organisation.
Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and equipment to continuously improve kitchen operations.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
Strong supervisory experience with a focus on team management and leadership skills.
In-depth knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards.
Excellent culinary skills with a passion for creating exceptional dishes.
Previous experience in restaurant settings is highly desirable.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to effectively lead the team and interact with customers.
