Duties

Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing training and support to enhance their culinary skills. Plan and develop menus that cater to seasonal ingredients while considering customer preferences. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Monitor inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as necessary to maintain stock. Implement cost control measures while maintaining the quality of dishes served. Foster a positive team environment that encourages creativity and collaboration.

Qualifications

Extensive culinary experience with a strong focus on food preparation and cooking techniques. Proven supervisory experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting, demonstrating effective team management skills. In-depth knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Excellent leadership abilities, capable of motivating and guiding a team towards success. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in hospitality is highly desirable, along with an understanding of customer service principles.
