We are seeking a talented and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional culinary skills(north and south indian recipes-mughlai/tandoori/dosas/biryani) and a strong background in food preparation and production. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for creating innovative menus, ensuring high standards of food safety, and managing kitchen operations efficiently. You will play a vital role in delivering an outstanding dining experience while supervising and mentoring kitchen staff.
Duties
Develop and design creative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Oversee all aspects of food preparation, ensuring quality and consistency in every dish served.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their best performance.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment.
Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and minimising waste to optimise kitchen operations.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Train new team members on culinary techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen procedures.
Monitor kitchen performance, making adjustments as necessary to improve efficiency and quality.
Plan, direct and help to prepare appetizers and meals for events, meetings and parties on client location(for events, parties) if required.
Experience
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
Strong culinary skills with a deep understanding of food preparation techniques and presentation.
Experience in supervising and managing a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is essential.
Ability to work collaboratively with others while maintaining strong leadership qualities.
A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes is highly desirable.
