Duties
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure high-quality dishes are served
Develop and design menus that align with seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, presentation, and food safety practices
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Monitor inventory levels and manage ordering of supplies to maintain optimal stock levels
Implement cost control measures to maximise profitability without compromising quality
Stay updated on culinary trends and incorporate innovative ideas into menu offerings
Requirements
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the restaurant industry
Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team
Extensive knowledge of food production techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and service
Familiarity with hospitality standards and customer service excellence
