As the Head Chef, you will oversee kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality while fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.

Duties

Lead and manage the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations. Develop and implement innovative menu items that reflect current culinary trends while meeting customer preferences. Supervise food preparation and presentation to maintain high standards of quality and consistency. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Train and mentor kitchen staff, promoting professional development and teamwork. Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food production costs effectively. Assist in the planning of special events or catering services as required.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within a restaurant setting. Strong culinary skills with a deep understanding of various cooking techniques and cuisines. Excellent leadership abilities with experience in team management and supervising staff. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and other departments. A passion for cooking and helping others develop their culinary skills.
