Overview

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of food preparation, safety, and production. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation while fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards. Develop and implement menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs to maximise profitability. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Monitor kitchen performance and implement improvements as necessary.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant setting. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen management practices. Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Passion for culinary arts with a creative approach to menu development. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
