The Woodland Bistro Based at Celtic Harmony Camp opened its doors to the public this year.
We are open everyday, but only Saturdays and Sunday to the public, other days we have private events and school groups.
We are seeking a talented and passionate Head Chef and Manager to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and food safety, with a flair for food preparation and production.
As the Head Chef and manager ,
you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, new menus, supervising school kitchen operations,
ensuring high standards of food quality, and fostering a collaborative environment among your team.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food production.
Oversee all aspects of food preparation and presentation, maintaining the highest standards of quality and hygiene.
Develop innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment.
Supervise cooking activities, ensuring that dishes are prepared to specification and delivered on time.
Train and mentor kitchen staff, promoting professional development and teamwork.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as necessary to maintain operational efficiency.
Qualifications
3 Years proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within a busy kitchen environment.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food preparation.
Excellent culinary skills with a passion for creating high-quality dishes.
Demonstrated ability to manage a team effectively, fostering a positive work culture.
Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
A relevant culinary qualification is preferred but not essential if experience is substantial.
