We re- launched Pastiche Bistro in Stafford in April, unfortunately the head chef we recruited as decided to move on, We wish him well with this decision, but it now leaves us looking for the next chef to continue to build the dream! so, if you fancy working for a small privately owned company, with Sundays off, Christmas day.... off, boxing day, off and no late finishes, no breakfast shifts, come and have a chat. We are seeking a talented and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of food preparation, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality. This role is pivotal in shaping our menu, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring that our guests receive outstanding hospitality.
Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
Develop and design innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene within the kitchen.
Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs to optimise profitability.
Lead, train, and motivate kitchen staff to achieve excellence in food production and service.
Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Monitor kitchen performance and implement improvements as necessary.
Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and creativity.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar culinary leadership role within the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary arts, and food safety standards.
Excellent team management skills with the ability to inspire and lead a diverse team.
Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen operations.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
Passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes that delight guests.
Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous.
