Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the kitchen team, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment
Oversee food production, ensuring dishes meet quality standards and are prepared in a timely manner
Manage food safety procedures in accordance with health regulations and company policies
Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while maintaining consistency
Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Train and mentor junior staff, promoting professional development within the team
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with hygiene standards
Assist in serving customers when required, providing excellent hospitality
Qualifications
Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment
Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food production
Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively
Demonstrable culinary experience across diverse cuisines and techniques
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards
Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable
Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
