The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
As a Head Chef will need to be willing to take on all aspects, and have good communication skills to motivate to confidently operate a kitchen with multifaceted aspects, work with owners, directors and mgt to achieve best practice. The Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. This role requires excellent cooking skills, team management abilities, and a passion for the hospitality industry.
Responsibilities
Head Chef, assist the operations heads in all aspects and help create menus and ensure all safety protocols are adhered, understand all cost and measures to achieve gross margins.
Sous Chef assist HC in all above and in planning and directing food preparation in the kitchen.
Supervise kitchen staff and ensure that all team members are trained in food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Prepare high-quality dishes according to the restaurant's menu and standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Help manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and menu items.
Ensure that all dishes are presented beautifully and meet quality standards before serving.
Assist in scheduling staff shifts and managing kitchen operations during busy periods.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Cook or Sous Chef in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills.
Experience in team management and supervising kitchen staff is highly desirable.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional customer service.
Culinary degree or relevant certification is an advantage but not essential.
