Head Coach - Men's Artistic Gymnastics

Are you ready to take charge of a growing Men's Artistic Gymnastics programme and help our athletes thrive at every level.

York City Gymnastics (YCG) is offering an opportunity for a dynamic, driven, and experienced coach to lead our MAG squad. We're looking for a confident and capable coach who brings a strong foundation of experience, leadership, and a passion for developing gymnasts at all levels

This is your chance to shape the future of our WAG programme, build on the incredible foundation already in place, and lead a talented group of gymnasts toward regional & national success.

What We Offer

A competitive salary of 27K-32K, based on experience. Full-time role ( 35h per week) Relocation assistance for candidates moving to York. Access to our state-of-the-art gymnastics facility, featuring over 1800m of dedicated space and full GG, WAG, MAG, and TRG equipment. A supportive coaching team committed to helping gymnasts of all ages and abilities reach their potential.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

A minimum British Gymnastics Level 2 + Modules MAG coaching qualification A track record of coaching success, ideally within a competitive environment The ability to lead by example, with a professional and positive approach to coaching Strong mentoring skills, supporting the growth of junior coaches and athletes alike Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a proactive and collaborative mindset A commitment to safeguarding, athlete wellbeing, and long-term development

Desirable Experience

Demonstrated success in athlete development and progression. Experience planning and delivering structured, safe, and engaging gymnastics sessions. Strong organisational skills, including planning training schedules, events, and competitions. Knowledge of talent identification and athlete pathway development. A thorough understanding of gymnastics rules, strategies, and best practices.
