Jam Coding delivers outstanding computing and coding workshops to young people in the Derby area. We are passionate about helping children to use and explore technology in a positive and constructive way. We have an exciting opportunity to join our team leading on Computing and Coding After School Clubs in schools within Derby city and surrounding areas.
Full training will be given to the successful applicant to enable them to deliver outstanding and rewarding computing and coding workshops in a variety of formats. You do not need extensive prior knowledge in this area.
The ideal candidate should have:
A positive attitude to helping young people succeed through teamwork, confidence building and exploration.
A sound general knowledge of IT/Computers (
Full training given)
Experience of teaching lessons/workshops to children.
An excellent communicator who is well organised and punctual.
A driving license and access to a car.
Desirable:
A teaching qualification, childcare qualification, teaching assistant qualification (or be working towards).
A qualification in computing or related subject.
All candidates will need a DBS qualification to work within this job role. This can be processed on behalf of the successful candidate. Candidates would need to be able to drive to fulfil this role.

Hours:
The hours of work will typically be 1500-1700 Monday to Friday during term time, with extra hours available during holiday periods. We would consider a job share so please state on your application which days you are available.
Duties
Lead on after school clubs.
Manage admin relating to each session, e.g. print register, charge laptops, print instructions for session.
Safeguard children. Contact parents if child does not turn up to club.
Work with Assistant Code Coach to support children's learning.
Record register on system to document child attendance.
