We are seeking a

Cook & Kitchen Supervisor

with

previous cooking and kitchen experience

to help maintain the high standards of our food preparation, kitchen cleanliness, and customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience cooking food to order, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring the presentation of dishes is always on point.

As part of your role, you will also be expected to take orders at the till, assist with customer service, and ensure the smooth running of the kitchen, including managing daily tasks and overseeing staff. This is a hands-on role that requires a keen eye for detail, a passion for food, and excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities:



Cooking & Food Preparation:

Prepare and cook food to the highest quality standards. Ensure food presentation is consistent and meets the takeaway's standards. Maintain food safety and hygiene standards at all times.

Kitchen Management:

Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and efficient. Maintain accurate cleaning logs and ensure all cleaning duties are carried out. Perform regular stock checks, manage inventory, and ensure all necessary supplies are available. Monitor and manage kitchen equipment, ensuring it's in good working condition.

Customer Service & Till Management:

Take customer orders at the till and ensure a friendly, professional, and efficient service. Handle cash and card payments and provide change accurately. Resolve customer queries or complaints in a positive and helpful manner.

Daily Management Tasks:

Assist with daily operational tasks, including staff management, opening and closing procedures, and shift coordination. Ensure the kitchen runs smoothly during service hours and assist with any tasks as required.

Requirements:



Previous Experience:

Experience working in a takeaway, kitchen, or restaurant environment, including cooking food to order and managing kitchen tasks. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices (Food Hygiene certification is a plus).

Skills & Qualities:

Strong attention to detail and presentation skills. Excellent time management and organizational abilities. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service. Leadership abilities with a proactive approach to managing kitchen operations.

Other:

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. A passion for food and a desire to be part of a dedicated and hardworking team.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Zero hours contract

Pay: 13.00-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
