Head Dental Nurse

is looking for a

Head Dental Nurse

to join our fantastic team. We are a high-quality, fully HIW-compliant dental practice that provides excellent NHS and private care to thousands of patients. We've created a supportive and collaborative environment where our team feels empowered and genuinely enjoys coming to work.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a key member of our team, you will provide crucial support to our dentists and help ensure our practice runs smoothly and efficiently. You'll be the friendly, reassuring presence for our patients, especially those who are nervous. Your main duties will include:

Providing outstanding

chair-side support

to clinicians. Assisting in surgery sessions to ensure they run on time. Maintaining exceptional

infection control

standards. Completing instrument decontamination processes. Offering reassurance and a calm presence for all patients. Lead, manage, and support the dental nursing team Oversee compliance with WHTM 01-05, and cross-infection protocols Manage stock control and equipment maintenance Conduct staff training and performance reviews

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a candidate who is caring, professional, and has a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will:

Be a

qualified Dental Nurse

with a minimum of one year experience and GDC registration. Possess a National Certificate in Dental Nursing or NVQ Level 3 Oral Healthcare (or equivalent). Have

excellent people skills

and the ability to work well within a team Previous leadership or senior nurse experience desirable Excellent communication and organisational skills Strong knowledge of clinical governance and HIW compliance Up-to-date CPD including safeguarding, BLS, and infection control
