We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic

Head Dental Nurse

to join our busy, friendly dental practice.

About the Role:

As our Head Dental Nurse, you will play a key leadership role in the smooth day-to-day running of the clinical side of the practice. This includes supporting clinicians, managing the nursing team, ensuring high standards of patient care, and maintaining full compliance with CQC and HTM01-05 standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the dental nursing team, including rota management and support Chair regular team meetings and provide mentorship and guidance Support clinical staff with treatments and ensure surgeries run efficiently Ensure decontamination procedures and cross-infection control protocols are followed Manage stock control and ordering of materials/equipment Assist in audits, inspections, and maintaining compliance documentation Liaise with the operations manager on staff training and development Deliver exceptional patient care and uphold a calm, professional, positive environment

Requirements:

GDC registered dental nurse Minimum of 2 years' experience as a qualified nurse (leadership experience desirable) Strong knowledge of HTM01-05 and CQC standards Excellent organisational and communication skills A proactive, team-oriented approach First Aid and Safeguarding certificates (preferred)
