Job Description

We are currently looking for a Head Dental Nurse to join our team at our state-of-the-art private dental practice in the heart of Reading!

The successful candidate will need to be hard-working, organised and always one step ahead of given tasks and have previous experience of supervising and or managing people. We are looking for someone who is methodical and can prioritise workloads.

Most important is your attitude but we are also looking for the ability to plan and organise your time and that of others whilst ensuring clinic standards are implemented and maintained. You should have a flexible approach and great work ethic whilst being self-motivated.

You will maintain an excellent relationship with your nursing team and other departments within the business. Working very closely with the Practice Manager you should also have strong communication skills.

We see this as a role that would see you splitting your time both inside and outside of the clinic .

Below are a sample of the kind of tasks you would be accountable for, although this is not an exhaustive list.

Ordering and Maintaining stock levels whilst working to a budget Monthly organisation and completion of audits and required logs Oversee and monitor the training of new/trainee nurses Cross Infection control audits at least twice per year and excellent knowledge of HTM01-05 Managing equipment repairs and routine servicing
