Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and motivated

Head Dental Nurse

to lead our nursing team and support the smooth day-to-day running of our busy dental practice.

This is a key leadership role, ideal for a confident dental nurse who enjoys supporting both patients and colleagues, maintaining high clinical standards, and helping the practice deliver excellent care.

Working Hours

Monday - Friday - 08:30 - 17:30

Key Responsibilities

Leading, supporting and supervising the dental nursing team Ensuring CQC standards, cross-infection control and clinical governance are consistently met Supporting the dentists and wider clinical team chairside when required Managing nursing rotas, holiday requests and absence cover Overseeing stock control, equipment maintenance and surgery readiness Assisting with onboarding, training and development of nursing staff Acting as a point of contact for nursing-related queries and concerns Supporting management with audits, compliance and practice organisation

About You

GDC registered Dental Nurse (essential) Previous experience as a Head Dental Nurse (preferred) Strong organisational and leadership skills Confident communicator with a calm and professional manner Excellent knowledge of CQC standards and infection control Able to lead by example and work well under pressure Passionate about patient care and team development
