Duties
Prepare and cook various food items using frying techniques, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish.
Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to maintain food standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils used for frying.
Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene practices to ensure the health and safety of all staff and customers.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Assist in meal preparation for special events or menu changes as required.
Monitor cooking times and temperatures to achieve optimal results.
Skills
Proven experience in a dish and chip shop is essential.
Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on frying techniques.
Familiarity with kitchen operations and equipment, including fryers, ovens, and grills.
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices for maintaining hygiene in the kitchen.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
