Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Head Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team at Runa Farm in Barnard Castle. In this role, you will play a vital part in working with the kitchen to maintain a clean and efficient kitchen environment, contributing to our mission of delivering top-notch hospitality and culinary excellence.

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation and ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained.

Support chefs by organizing kitchen supplies and ingredients. Maintain cleanliness of work areas and adhere to health and safety regulations. Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment efficiently. Assist in receiving deliveries and storing food items appropriately. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service. Help with waste management and recycling efforts within the kitchen. Contribute positively to team dynamics and uphold company values.

Previous kitchen experience required

Strong understanding of food safety standards. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude. Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities. Basic culinary knowledge is an advantage. Flexibility in working hours is desirable.
