The role

College Bradford is looking for an experienced teacher to take on a pivotal leadership role as Head of our vibrant Biology department.

As Head of Biology, you will play a critical role in reaching the college's goals and targets, ensuring that high standards of teaching and learning are maintained and continually improved in the department. You will be responsible for developing the Biology faculty, overseeing quality assurance processes, and supporting colleagues in their professional growth.





Alongside these leadership responsibilities, you will continue to deliver stimulating and engaging Biology lessons, nurturing a love of science in students and inspiring them to reach their full potential.

This position can be offered as either a full-time role or a part-time position at 0.8 FTE. Please state your preference on your application form.

About you

You will be an outstanding classroom practitioner with a strong track record in teaching A-Level Biology and delivering excellent results. Experience in managing a team, supporting professional development, and leading positive change to improve outcomes is essential. We are also looking to expand capacity within the Applied Science department, so experience in this area would be highly advantageous.
