Overview
The purpose of the Brand Marketing team is to generate increased brand love, awareness and consideration in customers, encouraging existing customers to shop more with us and new customers to consider Dunelm as a shopping destination. Our brand platform, The Home of Homes, is supported by owned channels, including ATL and organic social, as well as earned media and influencer engagement, underpinned by consistent creative and tone of voice.
We work closely with the Commercial teams, Digital Trading and Digital Marketing to ensure the seamless promotion of our fantastic product offering and the work we do as a responsible retailer to support our local communities and the world in which we operate.
What you'll be doing
The Head of Brand Communications is responsible for all advertising, social, influencer and PR activity for the Dunelm Brand.
The role is responsible for a multimillion-pound budget and ensuring our brand advertising and social + influencer investments drive our overall marketing strategy, focusing on our target customer segments.
Responsible for creating positive brand associations through earned media channels (editorial), building associations and endorsements that have a specific value by their very nature, over and above our controlled owned channels.
The role must be able to articulate the effectiveness of media investments, and run multiple agencies to support in delivery of brand campaigns.
The role is responsible for developing and delivering a brand communications strategy for Dunelm: Creation of a brand communications strategy for Dunelm which with other key channels delivers market leading brand campaigns across the year alongside 'fame' and 'talkability' moments that make Dunelm famous as 'The Home of Homes' .
Creation of all advertising, PR and social media campaigns.
Creation of a rolling 12-month media strategy.
Management and optimisation of advertising and social channels.
Constant focus on marketing effectiveness and ability to clearly articulate what media investments are driving back for the business.
Deliver and develop the business' external brand narrative, to build affinity and brand love.
Maintain and build the reputation of the business across the outlined areas of responsibility, working with MHP to plan and respond to any crisis/reputational risks.
Crisis management including provision of strategic advice and support to senior management and the Exec leadership team.
Review and assess all activity to ensure continued progression and improved return on investment (ROI), with press events and press packs key elements.
