ABOUT THE ROLE





The Head of Business Development will be responsible for growing International sales revenue and ensuring that OxfordAQA and OUP's qualifications, curricula, and assessments are recognized globally.



This role will work closely with Sales, Publishing, Marketing, regional teams, partners, Ministries of Education, HE providers, and other stakeholders to create commercially successful propositions and ensure local recognition of our services. The role will have a global remit and will drive sales by ensuring that students can progress through their academic careers with internationally recognized qualifications.



In addition to this, preparing and submitting accurate, detailed responses to third-party tenders and RFPs, and project managing the delivery of KPIs and contract lifecycles will form an important part of this role.



Key responsibilities in this role will include:


Identify and win high-level sales opportunities from school chains, ministries, and other large opportunities. Track core and adjacent markets through desk research, conferences, and internal communications. Build and develop a sales pipeline. Establish relationships with key players across ministries and school groups. Communicate and develop opportunities effectively across relevant stakeholders. Create customer-facing propositions for both single school customers and school groups using existing content and services. Ensure propositions are commercially viable and deliverable using existing resources. Pitch propositions to relevant stakeholders within opportunities. Work closely with other Education Division branches, OxfordAQA, and ELT / Academic divisions to ensure a common view of opportunities. Ensure the customer receives one point of contact and a proposition right for them, regardless of where the content is produced. Keep abreast of product plans, including digital and assessment opportunities. Work with supporting functions to create and implement processes that drive new revenue partnerships. Ensure all sales-related activities are added to the CRM system to maintain clear communication with customers. Adhere to group ethical conduct and code of conduct. Ensure compliance guidelines are embedded in business processes. Ensure 3rd parties understand and adhere to ethical business practices. Manage media relations appropriately.

We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.
