As a rapidly expanding and progressive business, we are now looking for a strong leader of people to join our Technical Drawings department. CAD Design experience and/or Traffic Management experience is essential. The main aspect of the role is to lead an experienced and dedicated team of CAD Designers, understand and manage fluctuations in work levels, ensure that all drawings meet company standards, client requirements and relevant legislation (including Chapter 8, TSRGD and local authority guidance), manage the performance output across the team and ensure the departments KPIs are being met. The role will be office based at the Head Office in Scunthorpe.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop the CAD Design Team, ensuring high performance and continuous improvement.
Oversee the production of accurate, compliant traffic management drawings for tender, planning, and live site operations.
Manage workflow, quality assurance, and timelines across all design requests.
Implement and maintain CAD standards, templates, and processes to ensure consistency across the business.
Liaise with clients, planners, and operational teams to understand project requirements and deliver effective design solutions.
Support training and professional development across the planning and design functions.
Manage drawing allocation on a daily basis, including resolving queries and invoicing all chargeable drawings completed, when necessary, in line with department KPIs.
Ensure you maintain an excellent level of customer service with the clients by communicating regularly and conducting customer visits and meetings, if required.
Champion innovation - exploring new technologies, software, and automation to enhance efficiency and output quality.
Oversee key customer accounts for the design side, ensuring all specific customer KPIs are met as well as completing all related applications.

Self-motivated with a 'can-do' attitude.
Significant experience in traffic management CAD design within highways or construction sectors.
Proficient in BricsCAD (or similar) with a strong understanding of Chapter 8 and CAD standards.
Desirable Requirements
Experience with digital design platforms (e.g. Cone 11, AutoTURN).
Understanding of traffic management planning systems and permit schemes.
Experience managing and developing design teams.

Hours of Work: Full time, Monday to Friday 08:30-17:00 with 30mins for lunch (40hrs per week).
Salary: Starting from 31,000.00 per annum (dependant on experience and will be discussed at interview stage).
The successful candidate would be subject to a 3 month probationary period.
