Job Description


Head of Cloud Solutions (Azure) required for a specialist cloud consultancy, based from either Dundee or Aberdeen (remote mainly).

The company:

They are a growing Cloud and Infrastructure consultancy and are also changing as a business, with large scale projects and clients being won. They have offices in either Dundee or Aberdeen, however this role only needs to be in the office twice a month (as a minimum).

They are a medium sized business and you will be joining as a Senior member of the team. Currently, the business are focused on AWS largely, however they are looking to move into the Azure space and this role has been created due to that change. Currently, the business works on small to medium sized projects however there is a changing focus to larger scale projects and also bigger clients. They are looking for someone with a strong consultancy or managed services background and also who is definitely senior in stature.

The role:

Reporting into the CTO, you will be responsible for helping to set up and managed the Azure side of the organisation. You will lead a team of 3 Solution Architects, integrate with clients and potential clients on all things Azure including Pre-Sales as well as develop the customer success management team. They are really looking for someone with a deep understanding of all things Azure, so having that both client and technical understanding would be very helpful for the role. Also, utilising any relationships with Microsoft themselves, whether from an MSP or direct background, would be very beneficial in this position.

The comapny are based in both Dundee and Aberdeen, however the company have a 2 day a month policy in office, so offer a very flexible WFH policy.

Key responsibilities and background:

** Developing presales engagements with new and existing customers supporting their successful cloud transformation journey

** Developing our customer success management team, acting as the voice of the customer you will support the development of deep customer relationships to drive renewals while supporting the identification of opportunities to develop customer growth.

** Establishing strong and enduring relationships with Microsoft Partner Success and Account Management Teams and developing our existing and robust AWS relationship

** Upholding the highest levels of Microsoft certifications and accreditations working towards achieving the Microsoft Azure Expert MSP level

** Leading customer-facing sales and technical engagements to highlight the benefits of cloud computing and the detailed engagement/transformation methodology

** Leading a team in creating and presenting comprehensive customer RFPs, RFIs, and SoWs as part of the sales cycle

** Maintaining a deep understanding of the technology marketplace, trends, and innovative solutions

You as a person:

** You should have a proven track record in creating, developing, and/or modernizing a cloud practice with a focus on the Microsoft Azure platform within a reseller/solution provider environment

** Demonstrated experience in architecting and providing technical pre-sales/solution architecture capabilities within customer-facing sales cycles

** Deep knowledge and certifications related to the Microsoft Azure platform, such as Microsoft Azure Expert-Level certifications

** Broad technical knowledge encompassing all aspects of Cloud & Datacentre and Modern Workplace, including Azure SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, M365, VMware and Microsoft

** Cybersecurity and network engineering presales experience are advantageous but advanced support will be provided
