Head of Comparators and Collaborations

GSK is seeking motivated and energetic Head of Comparators and Collaborations. This role is required to support the progression of GSK\xe2\x80\x99s pipeline, supplying medicine to patients in GSK\xe2\x80\x99s clinical trials. In this position you will lead the Comparators and Collaborations team and support the Executive Director, Packaging, Labelling, Distribution and Comparators (PLDC) on the PLDC leadership team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a critical leadership position in the Clinical Supply Chain organisation, supporting the entire GSK R&D portfolio (Medicines and Vaccines) and is accountable to understand the comparator and collaboration requirements of current and future portfolio, and identify and implement secure strategies to deliver timely, cost effective and robust comparator supplies in support of the R&D Clinical Studies.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Global Leadership for Comparators and Collaborations.

Global Leadership to evaluate cross-portfolio Comparator and Collaboration requirements for current and future portfolio, proactively identify and manage the risks associated with comparator sourcing. Embed any new ways of working across the many groups involved in identifying, sourcing, and managing comparators.

Communicate with and influence internal stakeholders and partners.

Develop and implement an external Comparator and Collaboration strategy to support Comparator and Collaboration management across the lifecycle and to deliver to the R&D strategy. Actively assess the external landscape to identify opportunities for Comparator supply strategies.

Strengthen and/or build new relationships and ways of working with key external suppliers/partners (e.g., TransCelerate Comparator Network, Wholesalers).

Manage a global Comparator budget across the portfolio, identifying and implementing opportunities to ensure cost effectiveness and increased utilization of comparator products.

Strategic planning to deliver the GSK R&D portfolio and execution of key capability, capital, and resource projects.

Leading leaders to set GSK objectives and development plans.

Contribute and deliver to global Clinical Supply Chain objectives, through active participation in PLDCLT.

Establish efficient ways of working to support collaborations with other pharma companies as requirements arise.

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

BSc or higher (equivalent) in relevant scientific discipline e.g., chemistry, biology, engineering.

Considerable relevant work experience in the pharma industry with excellent understanding of pharmaceutical development.

Significant demonstrated supply chain logistics experience.

Significant, demonstrated CMC breadth (cross dose form, and cross modality).

Significant line and/or matrix leadership experience.

Experience working with third parties (CMOs, CROs, vendors, other pharma companies).

Proven experience working in a highly regulated environment with demonstrated influencing and negotiating skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience managing resources and budgets.

Strategy implement and change management experience.

Experience presenting at global internal and external meetings including relevant GSK governance.

Experience in supplier relationship management, building a collaborative, performance focused relationship with GSK\xe2\x80\x99s third-party logistic providers.

Experience in change management and/or, implementing new systems will be an advantage.
