Join the Corporate Asset Solutions (CAS) team as their Head of Credit, where you will be oversee the credit local Credit department. That includes ensuring sound credit decision-making, risk management, and fostering a high-performing team.

Your insights and expertise will play a pivotal role in driving our credit strategy and contribute to our business growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement credit policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure prudent risk management and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Direct and mentor a team of Underwriters, fostering a culture of teamwork, learning, and professional development.
• Evaluate credit applications and large-scale credit exposures, making well-informed and data-driven credit decisions.
• Conduct thorough credit risk assessments, evaluating financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant information.
• Partner with other departments, such as finance and sales, to optimise credit terms and maximise revenue opportunities while minimising credit risk.
• Review and update credit decisioning models and methodologies to enhance credit assessment accuracy.
• Prepare comprehensive credit reports and present them to senior management and stakeholders.
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to streamline credit operations.
• Monitor credit portfolios and proactively address potential credit issues to mitigate losses.
• Ensure that all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by the Regulatory Bodies are carried out to the standards required.

Developing Our People: As a line manager, you will be responsible for inspiring and motivating your team, as well as developing performance through coaching. You will encourage your team to be accountable for their own personal development and provide guidance through regular feedback.

WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF:

• You have significant experience in credit risk management with strong knowledge of credit risk, financial statements and credit scoring models.
• You have excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
• You have a proven track record of managing a successful team, building and motivating your people
• You\'re able to build effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership
• You have thorough knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements related to credit operations.
• You\'re proficient in using credit risk management software and tools.
