Description





The Head of Data/AI Transformation is responsible for leading the data and artificial intelligence (AI) strategy, driving the development and execution of data-driven solutions, and leveraging AI technologies to enhance business outcomes across Team Internet. This role involves overseeing the development and optimisation of data assets, AI models, and analytics processes, ensuring that Team Internet maximises its data potential while maintaining high standards for data governance, security, and compliance.

Leadership & Strategic Vision

Define and lead the execution of a forward-thinking Data & AI strategy that aligns with the company's overarching business goals. Partner with senior executives and business leaders to identify opportunities where data and AI can drive innovation and growth. Serve as a thought leader in emerging technologies, championing the use of AI and machine learning to solve complex business problems and enhance decision-making.

Data Governance & Management

Oversee the governance of data assets, ensuring data is accurate, secure, and accessible across the organisation. Develop and enforce robust data governance frameworks, including compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and other regulatory standards. Lead initiatives to standardise data across the Group, ensuring consistency and quality for analytical use. Implement best practices in data architecture, including data lakes, warehousing, and real-time pipelines.

AI & Machine Learning Leadership

Drive the design, development, and deployment of scalable and explainable AI and machine learning solutions. Promote the adoption of cutting-edge AI technologies such as deep learning, NLP, and reinforcement learning to create competitive advantages. Collaborate with IT and product teams to ensure seamless integration of AI models into business systems and workflows.

Analytics & Business Intelligence

Lead the organisation's analytics strategy, transforming data into actionable insights that support strategic and operational decisions. Build and maintain robust BI and reporting systems to deliver timely, accurate information to stakeholders. Advance the use of predictive and prescriptive analytics to inform business planning and performance. Define and track KPIs to measure the success and impact of data and AI initiatives using tools like Power BI.

Technology & Innovation

Evaluate, select, and implement data and AI platforms that support scalability and innovation. Ensure the use of modern technologies in data processing, storage, and AI development, including cloud computing and big data tools. Stay ahead of industry trends and drive the adoption of emerging technologies across the organisation. Promote automation and AI-driven efficiencies to streamline operations and reduce manual processes. Provide governance and oversight for shared Data & AI platforms across the business.

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

Act as a strategic partner to business units, identifying high-impact opportunities for data and AI initiatives. Communicate complex data and AI concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership and board members. Foster strong collaboration between data teams, business units, and product teams to ensure alignment and successful project delivery. Serve as a bridge between technical and business functions, ensuring shared understanding and prioritisation of data initiatives. Collaborate effectively across departments including HR, Finance, Marketing, and Sales.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

Lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance the organisation's data science and AI capabilities. Encourage a culture of experimentation and innovation to explore new AI-driven solutions. Monitor and report on the business impact of data and AI initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and measurable value.

Experience and skills that will help you succeed

Strong expertise in AI and machine learning technologies, including deep learning, neural networks, natural language processing, and other advanced methods Experience deploying GenAI agents in enterprise platforms (e.g. M365 copilot, GitHub copilot) Proficiency in data analysis, data wrangling, and statistical modelling using tools such as Python, R, SQL, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and other AI/ML frameworks Solid experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) Demonstrated ability to collaborate with business leaders to define and implement data-driven solutions Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
