Role overview:



We're looking for an experienced and hands-on Head of Digital Marketing to join us on a fixed-term maternity cover contract. In this role, you'll lead and support a talented team responsible for delivering performance across all digital marketing channels -- including SEO, PPC, content, website, CRO, and martech.

You'll provide strategic direction, team leadership, and hands-on input during a critical period as we execute major digital projects, including the implementation of a new marketing automation platform, HubSpot, the execution of a new annual content-led marketing plan and the rebuild of our company website.



Key Responsibilities:



Team Leadership & Development

Manage and support a growing digital marketing team Provide clear prioritisation, coaching, and feedback across different disciplines Maintain a high-performing, collaborative, and empowered culture in the team

Digital Channel Strategy & Performance

Oversee strategy and execution for: SEO- site health, content optimisation, keyword growth PPC- paid search, paid social, and retargeting performance Content marketing- blog, case studies, reports, thought leadership Website & CRO- site management, UX improvements, A/B testing Marketing automation & martech- platform integrations, data flows, email performance Ensure all channels are aligned to demand generation and brand goals Own key performance metrics and ensure regular reporting across digital KPIs

Strategic Project Oversight

Lead the continued implementation of a new marketing automation platform as we consolidate our tech stack and support ambitious demand gen and retention goals Guide the design, build and launch of a new website, working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners Support the onboarding of any acquisition websites or martech integrations

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with Product Marketing, Demand Gen, Brand, Comms and Events to ensure integrated planning and align digital programs with lead generation targets and funnel performance Work closely with the Global Content Team to align our content marketing plans with Tes' content products, such as Tes Magazine Liaise closely with Engineering and IT on website, CMS, and martech infrastructure

What will you need to succeed?

Proven experience in a digital marketing leadership role, ideally in a B2B SaaS or tech environment Strong knowledge of digital channels and martech (HubSpot knowledge is essential): you can guide both technical and creative marketers Demonstrated experience managing and developing high-performing teams Skilled in translating strategy into action and managing multiple workstreams Experience overseeing complex digital projects like automation replatforming and website builds Confident working with stakeholders at all levels, from C-suite to specialists
