We are looking for a Head of Digital Sales and Retention. We need someone who thrives in ambiguous and complex environments and excels in stakeholder management. This person will play a critical role in the energy transition, creating value for customers and society through decarbonisation and energy efficiency.
This role will empower digital sales across a diverse mix of products and services. It requires both strategic ownership and day to day operational co-ordination. It oversees digital commerce activities including paid media, proposition launches, offers, site merchandising, content updates conversation rate optimisation,
We are looking for a candidate who brings expertise, versatility, and an enthusiasm for getting into the details. This person has proven success in building, coaching and guiding distributed sales and marketing teams in a cross functional, dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be one who is data focussed, with experience in working across matrix organisations to influence VP/ Director level stakeholders in the organisation. This role reports to the Director of Go to Market and is based in London (Farringdon).
Heres a taste of what youll be doing:

  • Nurture and develop a high-performing digital sales and retention team, fostering cross-functional collaboration to achieve business goals.
  • Create and implement strategies to boost website traffic, conversions, revenue, and profitability using analytics and A/B testing.
  • Evaluate and execute innovative sales models, including partnerships and white label opportunities, to expand digital sales channels.
  • Oversee SEO efforts to increase organic traffic and enhance digital sales through improved visibility.
  • Manage a top-tier CVM and merchandising team focused on on-site content, personalised promotions, and campaign testing.
  • Collaborate with white label partners and internal teams to optimise user experience, define KPIs, and track acquisition and retention performance.
Are we a perfect match?
  • Proven track record of high-performance sales management: extensive experience in fintech, telecommunications or SaaS with success in building and scaling high performing teams.
  • Sales experience - proven experience guiding teams to achieve sales goals, aligning stakeholders and resolving conflict.
  • Data focussed and analytical; comfortable working in ambiguous environments to define KPIs and guide strategic decisions.
  • A self-starter with a growth mindset, someone who thrives in ambiguity and is passionate about our mission and can chart a path to achieving this.
It would be great if you had:
  • Bachelors degree (or equivalent qualification or level of experience) in Business, Marketing or a related field is preferable
  • Experience with CRM to track lead generation activities
  • Experience with PPC sales, including Google Ads, Microsoft Shopping Campaigns, YouTube, Facebook Ads, and/or other paid channels
  • Excellent understanding of different social media platforms and best practices for social media sales
  • Working knowledge of geotargeting
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and with clients
