The Role




Lead and develop the strategic direction of the Design & Technology department Inspire, support, and motivate a team of dedicated teachers Oversee high-quality curriculum planning and delivery across all D&T specialisms Champion innovative teaching practices that bring creativity and design to life Ensure high standards of progress, engagement, and achievement at all key stages Manage departmental resources and contribute to the school's ongoing development

What We're Looking For




Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent UK teaching qualification Strong subject knowledge in at least one D&T specialism (Food, Graphics, Resistant Materials, or Textiles) Proven track record of excellent classroom practice and student outcomes at KS3-KS5 Experience in middle leadership or departmental management (or ready to take that next step) Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills A genuine passion for helping students develop creativity, innovation, and practical skills
