Acts as a technical escalation point across multiple squads
Guides teams through complex engineering decisions and trade-offs
Ensures technical consistency and quality across deliverables
Architecture & Design:
Collaborates with Solution Architects to translate architecture into actionable technical designs
Approves, Reviews and validates designs across teams
Ensures alignment with platform strategy and scalability goals
Delivery Leadership:
Supports agile delivery through technical planning and work decomposition
Identifies and resolves technical bottlenecks and blockers
Manages shared engineering resources and cross-team dependencies
Team Support:
Provides informal coaching and mentoring to senior engineers
Encourages technical ownership and accountability
Supports onboarding and integration of new engineers
Ideal Profile
Senior engineer or architect background with delivery leadership experience
Strong understanding of agile engineering practices and tooling
Able to operate across multiple tech stacks and domains
Comfortable influencing technical direction without direct line management
Data and Reporting Technical Skills
Google Cloud (specifically native data services, BigQuery, Cloud Composer, Dataflow, Data Fusion, GCS, IAM)
IaC (Terraform)
SQL/SQL Server/SSIS
High level understanding of Data Modelling concepts (Kimball modelling/star schema)
High level understanding of Data Engineering concepts
